IMAGINE WHAT CAN BE DONE IN 4 MORE YEARS?
The City did not have a City Administrator until 1998, when the first Administrator was hired. In 2022, the City Council passed an ordinance to reinstate executive and administrative powers to the Mayor. As a result, the Mayor continues to receive her $1,500 monthly Mayor's salary, with an additional $2,500 per month for serving as City Administrator — a total of $4,000 per month. In contrast, hiring a separate City Administrator would cost $20,857.20 per month (including benefits), plus $1,500 per month for the Mayor’s salary — totaling $22,357.20 per month.
This means the City currently pays $4,000 per month for duties that would otherwise cost over five times more ($22,357.20), resulting in a significant monthly savings.
"During my 12 years of service, I paid off four bonds, eliminating $5.59 million in debt and building $10.8 million in reserves — all while completing numerous projects and remaining debt-free." - Stephanie Miller

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
A Record of Service and Commitment
With over 20 years of public service, I’ve seen firsthand how strong, local leadership can strengthen communities and improve lives. I’ve served 10 years on the Hyrum City Council and 12 years as Mayor of Hyrum, including the last 3 years also as City Administrator.
Beyond Hyrum, I’ve represented our broader community through service on key regional and state boards, including: Cache Council of Governments; Cache Metropolitan Planning Organization; Cache Fire District Board of Trustees; Utah Association of Municipal Power; Executive Board of the Utah Local Governments Trust; Cache Mayors Association, where I’ve been honored to serve twice as president; Cache Waste Consortium.
These past years have given me a broad perspective on citywide priorities—from infrastructure and emergency services to planning and collaboration with neighboring governments. I’ve worked hard to lead with vision and integrity, advocating for policies that help Hyrum stay strong, safe, and future-ready.
As I run for re-election, I am ready to return to office with renewed energy, proven experience, and a refreshed commitment to our community. My promise is to build on the progress we’ve made, strengthen what works, and lead Hyrum with steady hands, collaboration, and unwavering dedication to the values and people who make our city what it is.
Communities and Families Matter
Family is at the center of everything we do in Hyrum. Raising my own here has reinforced my commitment to keeping this a place where families can thrive for generations to come.
Vision
As Hyrum continues to grow, our future depends on thoughtful planning, responsible development, and careful stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
My vision is for a city government that leads with transparency, fairness, and respect—where every decision is made with the long-term well-being of our residents in mind. We must strengthen infrastructure, protect our quality of life, and encourage growth that reflects the character of our communities. By working together with openness and accountability, we can ensure Hyrum remains strong, vibrant, and prepared for the opportunities ahead.
